A perfect Christmas side made simple!
I made this recipe with some Shepherd's Pie so you can check that out too!
1 Red Cabbage
Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Cardamom seeds
Apple Cider (1 cup)
Red Wine (3/4 cup)
Brown Sugar (2tbp)
Let's get started:
Melt the butter with the brown sugar and then add the spices, mix for about 2 min and then fry the onion.
When the onion starts getting soft, add the liquids, the wine, cider and vinegar.
Followed by the cabbage, apple and raisins. Cover and let cook for at least 1 hour, but the longest the better! And it will also get more tender so check, taste and decide depending on how you like it!
