Salted Caramel Brownie (V&GF)

I love mixing sweet and salty so this is the perfect combination of both and also filled with chocolate, it is both vegan and gluten free, let's get started!


Salted Caramel:

30ml Coconut milk

2tbp Tahini

2tbp Coconut oil

1tbp Brown sugar

40ml Maple syrup

Salt flakes

Vanilla extract


1/2 cup Almond flour

1/2 cup Gluten free flour

3/4 cup Cocoa powder

1tsp baking powder

1tbp ground flaxseed

1/2cup Caster sugar

1/2 cup Brown sugar

1/4cup Plant based milk

1/3 cup Vegan butter (or oil)

1tsp Vanilla extract

Salt flakes

Dark chocolate chunks


For the caramel: Melt the coconut oil in the microwave and mix in the sugar so it melts. Then add the rest of the ingredients and keep whisking until it gets combined. I would add the salt flakes at the end.

For the brownie: Melt the butter in the microwave and mix with the sugar and the vanilla extract. Now slowly add the flours, cocoa powder, baking powder and flaxseed. Now the dough is gonna get thicker so we're gonna add the milk. Finally, add the chocolate chunks (you can add walnuts too if you want).

You can transfer the dough into a baking container and this is optional but I added half of the dough, a little bit of caramel sauce inside and then the rest of the dough.

Bake for 30-40 min at 180ยบ and it is ready! Cover with salted caramel on top and some salt flakes and enjoy!
