Snickers Mousse (Vegan, Gluten and Dairy Free) | Time 15min.
Feeling like having a Vegan Treat? Yes, Mousses can be Vegan and delicious!
I used to work in a fast food chain that made healthier snack options and I got obsessed with this Vegan Chocolate Mousse.
When making mousses there's a lot of options in terms of ingredients that you can use to either substitute the double cream or the eggs. I can assure you it is way easier than what you might think, today we are using tofu, yes, that's right, tofu!
You can also substitute eggs using Aquafaba, as on my recipe Vegan Orange Chocolate Mousse. Or you can use whippable plant based creams to substitute the double cream as I did on my Cookie Dough Banana Mousse.
Tofu is an amazing ingredient to use on mousses as it is pretty tasteless on its own and it makes the mousse super creamy! And do not worry, your dessert is not gonna taste like tofu!
INGREDIENTS: (yields 2 big portions)
100g Cocoa Powder
10ml agave (optional)
4tbs Peanut Butter
100ml Almond Milk
LET'S GET STARTED
Add all the ingredients in a mixer or blender (you can also use a hand held blender), mix from 3 to 5 minutes or until it gets completely smooth.
In a cup or glass, add one tablespoon of peanut butter on the bottom and continue by adding the chocolate mixture you have just prepared.
To decorate, add some cocoa nibs. Strawberries or pome granate would be a good option too. You can eat it straight away or store in the fridge for a better consistency.
I use silken tofu for this recipe such as:
